Photography has always been a passion of mine since I was a ten year old girl. The idea of being able to capture one quick moment, and the sense of nostalgia that is brought by looking at the photo, simply amazes me.
When I came home to the DC area after graduating college in Rome, Italy, it was very difficult for me. Rome, is, after all, the Eternal City, and it eternally has a huge piece of my heart. However, when I look at my photos, I get a great sense of solace and am immediately transported; memories flood back filling my nose with the scent of garlic and my ears with the sound of passing motorini. This is why I am in total awe of the camera--captured memories.
My style is photojournalistic, which allows me to shoot unobtrusively and use my creative instinct. I spontaneously capture images to emphasize emotions, and in turn, present a story. I shoot weddings because I love the thick air of raw emotion the momentous day holds. When my clients look at their photos, I want them to remember and re-feel every emotion they felt on their very special day, whether it be months later, or decades past. I truly feel honored to be a part of such an important and personal day.
